About Matt Hague Agri-Business

Matt Hague

After gaining an Honours Degree in Crop Production Science in 1987 I joined ADAS as an Arable Agronomist, achieving BASIS accreditation in Crop Protection and FACTS, and a client portfolio of over 15,000 acres.  I went on to progress into business consultancy and farm management in the commercial and educational sectors, eventually leading to the establishment of my own consultancy business in January 2020.

Overseeing the management of college farms in Northamptonshire and Cheshire provided valuable experience in the challenges of hands-on farm management in dairy, beef, sheep, pigs and crop production systems.  Earlier experience includes time at the world-renowned research institute - Rothamsted Research at Harpenden, working on a Velcourts Farm in Pershore, working on a mixed farm estate at Alnwick and a mixed family farm near Huntingdon, as well as experience on fruit and vegetable farms in Israel.
